His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, presented the 2017 Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Impact Awards during a ceremony at Rideau Hall, on September 15, 2017.
The annual SSHRC Impact Awards recognize the highest achievements in social sciences and humanities research, knowledge mobilization and scholarship supported by SSHRC.
The ceremony also showcased last June’s top five winners of the SSHRC’s annual Storytellers competition, who were selected from among 25 finalists in a national challenge to find innovative ways to communicate the impact of social sciences and humanities research.
